The St. Louis suburb of Chesterfield will be the destination for all things Jets & Jazz September 7-8, 2019 when the Spirit of St. Louis Air Show shares its airspace with The Smooth Jazz Cruise On Land in St. Louis: 1st Annual Music Festival. Before you head over to the Chesterfield Amphitheater for an afternoon and evening of amazing smooth jazz, you can take in the soaring sights at the Spirit of St. Louis Airport right down the street.
The 2019 Spirit of St. Louis Air Show & STEM Expo, presented by Boeing, is one of only three air shows in the world to feature both the US Navy Blue Angels in their made-in-Missouri Boeing F/A-18s AND the UK Royal Air Force Red Arrows. “The 2019 event will celebrate our heroes in uniform, excite students towards the future of STEM, including aviation, and thrill attendees with amazing performances from historic and modern aircraft,” said John Bales, president of the Spirit of St. Louis Air Show committee and director of the Spirit of St. Louis Airport. The 2019 event will also feature the Aeroshell Aerobatic Team, Skip Stewart, the F-22 Raptor DemoTeam, and Matt Younkin in a Beech 18, among others.
The Air Show runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday, September 7-8. The smooth jazz festival is your encore, with shows all afternoon into the evening on September 7, leading up to the grand finale at 8:30 p.m., featuring one of the genre’s most popular stars, Brian Culbertson.
